Where can I get moving boxes for free?
Hi, I moving at the end of this week and I think its kinda pointless to pay for them. So i was wondering where can I get them. Can I try Walmart or something maybe ask somebody that works there that can take me to the back of the warehouse.. maybe they would have some. I really don’t know lol.

We always got ours from behind the liquor store. But if you go there, GO DURING THE DAY!

Walmart would be a good place to ask however they probably shred the boxes on a daily basis so you would have to ready the day you show up. Other places you could try is grocery store, we found good boxes at a Liquor Store as they have dividers in them and good for glass wear. You could call uhaul and see if you could " rent them" Good luck.

You can try any retail or grocery store, Wal-Mart is usually pretty good about giving people boxes. However, you need to call and ask what day their deliveries come in; that’s the day you need to go because they don’t save boxes, they break them down and dispose of them.

Call your local Walmart at night…. around 10pm or so and tell them that you’re interested in some boxes for moving. They’ll notify the overnighters and save you some boxes that you can pick up later. Its quite common.
