It can be done after work or in a couple of hours on the weekend if you do not work 7 days a week. Do you know anyone with a pickup truck. Buy a case of beer and tell a few of your friends that if they help you move, you'll buy the beer. You can even throw in a bar-b-que at the new location when the move is finished. I'm thinking about using a full-service moving company. I thought about doing it myself or with a friend, but I figured that I'd probably have to take a day off work, risk getting injured with heavy items, etc. -- to such an extent that it might even make more since to give away almost everything via "take it yourself and it's free." What should it cost? Is my guess $200-ish reasonable? How much should it approximately cost to move across town?
